Helen gasped as she stepped through the anomaly.

Buildings stretched their ruined fingers towards the sky.

Broken, gnawed upon by sun, wind and rain.

Helen had always understood that humanity would one day fall.

Lost and forgotten, not mourned.

Helen's feet took her deeper inside the carcass of the once thriving city, seeking answers to what had befallen it.

But looking upon the remains, all she could see was the bones of some long dead civilisation, killed before its time.

The silence began to gnaw at her, no birdsong filled the air.

What had humanity done?

Could she stop it?

It is what you get after watching 'life after people' (I think it is called that, any way).

Loved this still-life as seen by Helen of the future, and how it influenced her choices.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I think Helen must have seen something like this to make her make those decisions.
