The water runs over my hands, but can never wash them clean of the stain only I can see.

I sigh as I raise my eyes to the mirror. My gaze slides away when I try to look into my own eyes.

I know why.

So many secrets.

So many lies.

So many deaths.

They haunt my soul and I dread to see the darkness inside reflected back at me.

A darkness which grows with every lie I tell.

How do they not see it when they look into my eyes?

They are the window to the soul, aren't they?

Thanks, it was suppose to fit several of them. Sorry, but you'll have to remain curious as I never decided who it was. I had a few vague ideas but not a concrete one, it just seemed better to keep it as open as possible.
