Lester eyed the curry with trepidation but still loaded his fork, how could he do otherwise when Matt had spent time making it for him.

He regretted it instantly as it seemed to sear his mouth and throat. Coughing, he downed the glass of milk he’d poured earlier. “Bloody hell, Matt,” he gasped, his voice barely audible.

“I don’t understand, I only put in what the recipe said.”

“Show me,” Lester croaked before closing his eyes when Matt did.

“James?”

“They’re not Serrano chillies, Matt.”

“What are they?”

“Green Finger chillies.”

“But they look the same.”

“Green Fingers are hotter.”
