Lester viewed the grainy CCTV images and knew they wouldn’t be able to discredit them, not this time. Too many people had witnessed Convergence, too many had lost family and friends to the creatures to even attempt continuing to conceal the truth. The anomalies were now public knowledge, for better or – he was convinced – for worse, and the ARC would have to adapt.

Lester glanced at the document open on his computer, checking the contingency plan he’d written when he’d become Director was up to date. Once satisfied, he sent it to Ms Wickes to be forwarded to all staff.
