A/N 2: Set in my The ARC Files AU 'verse (The ARC Files: The Locked Room Mystery) – all you really need to know is that the existence of vampires, were-creatures and mages is public knowledge. Oh, and the Lester is a mage, Jenny a a vampire and Lyle is a werewolf.


It was at times like this Lester wished Ms Lewis could go out in the day, she was a far better people-person than he was. Still, someone had to calm the growing crowd before some hot-head ignited a riot and that would have to be him, considering how close to the full moon it was.

“James?”

“Get ready to move, Lyle,” Lester replied as he shot his cuffs. “I want that sodding vampire in one piece.”

“They're out for blood.”

Lester blinked at Lyle's comment before nodding. “And I'm not going to let them stake anyone out in the sun.”
