Lester opened his flat's storage cupboard and just stared at the missing shoes and clothing he discovered within. He bit back a sigh, doubting that any of it would be salvageable, not after Connor's so-called pets had gnawed and done who knew what else to them. “Temple!”

“Lester?” Connor gulped as he saw the damage. “I'll tidy up.”

“And lock those bloody pests up.”

“Right,” Connor hurriedly agreed as he attempted to tug a shoe from one of the Diictodons.

“Let them have it,” Lester said, adding at Connor's disbelieving glance, “They'll only steal and ruin something else of mine.”

Lester mutters he's suffering. Connor might be, but I'm not sure Lester really appreciates it or if he's just realised he's not going to change the pests pets.
