“The minister isn't taking your calls, James.”

Lester cursed silently, knowing he'd been outmanoeuvred, but then, he had lines he wouldn't cross. “Christine, what brings you here?” Not that he didn't know, but even seconds could be vital in one of Christine's twisted games.

“Oh, my dear James,” Christine almost purred, sending a shiver crawling up Lester's spine. “I'm in charge now.” She let her glance rake his body, “But I'm sure I can make a position available for you...”

“This isn't over Christine.”

Christine's smile chilled Lester's blood. “It is for you. Please escort this... gentleman from the premises.”
