Becker took a deep breath before knocking firmly on Lester's door. “You wanted to see me, sir?” He snapped to attention under Lester's scrutiny.
Lester steepled his fingers. “What I want to know is how Baker was left unsupervised and allowed access to that laboratory?” He leaned forwards. “Where the hell were your men?”
“I'll speak to them, sir.” Again. He mentally cursed his tea-breaking loving men.
“See that you do, Captain.” Lester shuffled his paperwork in clear dismissal.
“And his remains, sir?”
“Sweep them up, bag them and return them to Christine.”
“Sir?”
“Just a thought, Captain,” Lester replied.
