Lester rubbed his tired eyes and considered his report about Convergence to the minister. He knew his warnings about the danger Helen still held would be ignored.

She might be dead, but Helen had been a spider in the centre of a web of lies and manipulation. People like Hart or Cutter didn't worry him, it was the ones like Leek or Burton who did. Who knew how many people who believed Helen still lay hidden from him?

Lester knew he could never relax his guard against those who would, perhaps unknowingly, complete Helen's plan to destroy all of humanity.
