Primeval Drabble: Fears Realised?

Title: Fears Realised?
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, OC
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 555: Hold the Front Page! Set in my Under The Moonlight Wolfverse.

Lester tensed every time the telephone rang, dreading it being the editor of whatever paper that bloody journalist worked for.

How was Lester supposed to know a journalist with a camera had been lurking around? Not that it would have changed his actions, for only Shadow could have saved the child.

The day finally ended and Lester stopped dead when he spotted the journalist by his car. The leech wanted a personal interview before yelling 'Hold the front page!'.

“I just wanted to say,” the journalist began. “Thanks for saving my Sophie.” He held out a camera card. “We're even.”

That's a bugger, but he didn't have any choice. Intriguing development.

It is, he didn't and I have no idea where this fits into the 'verse (or what it might lead to).

Thanks for reading.
