“Ouch!”

Lyle was on his feet and heading towards the bedroom at Lester's cry. “James?”

“I'm fine,” Lester muttered as he stood with his shirt half-off.

“Yeah,” Lyle murmured. “Let me help.” He put words into action, his fingers grasping Lester's shirt and easing it off his arms. He slipped his arms gentle around his lover's chest, pressing a kiss to his shoulder. “Sit down and let me check you haven't pulled a stitch.”

“I'm fine, Jon.” Lester tried to pull free.

“You almost died!” Lyle snapped before pressing another kiss against exposed skin. “Please, let me look after you.”
