Claudia Brown couldn't help the horrible feeling she'd been sent on one of those newbie jokes. Really, a dangerous animal running loose in the Forest of Dean? Just how stupid did her new colleagues think she was?

Yet here she was and if she had to put up with slime ball for one more minute... her gaze fell on a familiar face. Where... ah, Professor Nicholas Cutter. Just who she needed, both to get rid of the slime ball and to debunk the animal sighting.

Claudia rose, having chosen her approach and hoping to be back in London before evening.
