Title: The Stone Age
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester/Nick Cutter
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For P100 prompt 506: The Stone Age and set in my Under The Moonlight wolf!verse series. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eyes over it for me.
“What are you doing?” Lester asked as he watched his lover sort though a selection of – as far as Lester could tell – common-and-garden stones.
Nick glanced up as he tossed aside those stones which obviously didn't meet whatever criteria he had. “Something my old professor taught me.”
“Can I ask how knapping is going to help in our present situation?” Lester asked as Nick started to pre-form his selected stone. “You're not thinking of hunting?”
“I'll leave that to Shadow,” Nick said to Lester relief. “But other tools would be useful, we don't all have Shadow's sharp teeth.”
