Connor had so many questions that it was hard to keep them all in his brain and not on the tip of his tongue. He so wanted to ask them but he'd seen the way Lester had reacted to the dog treat joke; how Lester had gone quiet when either he or the Professor had even referred to the wolf.

It was obviously something Lester wasn't willing to talk about, at least not yet. Connor could always hope that the subject might not be taboo one day, if only he could show Lester he could be trusted with his secret.
