Lester tugged Connor against him, resting his chin on Connor' shoulder. “Penny for them?”

“I'm wondering what resolutions to make,” Connor said, leaning back against him.

“Oh?”

“I'll try and be tidier,” Connor said.

“I believe that was your resolution last year,” Lester paused, before adding, “I'd prefer it if you promised to pay more attention in the field.”

“I'll try, it's just...”

“You get distracted and forget the danger,” Lester finished for him. “And I'll try not to bring work home with me.”

Connor turned, a blinding smile on his face, and kissed Lester. “I love you too, James.”
