Lester winced as a gas cylinder blew, sending sparks and flames spiralling skywards. It was almost like bonfire night, even if the explosions weren't entirely due to gunpowder.

He had to admit treason hadn't actually occurred; even if he wouldn't have been surprised if Cutter had finally lost it – he'd been odd ever since the anomaly where Ryan had almost died.

Helen was always plotting, attempting to kill Cutter was just her latest attempt to disrupt the ARC. Who knew what she was really planning, but Lester knew that this wouldn't be the last they'd heard of that crazy bitch.
