Primeval drabble: Weather Sense
Jul. 2nd, 2016 10:36 pmTitle: Weather Sense
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, [Team, Monty]
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 478: Rain. Set in my Under The Moonlight wolfverse series. Thanks to Fred for casting her eye over it for me.
James felt twitchy in his own skin and knew what it meant, even if the weather report was dry and sunny. He just couldn't settle and snapped at people, leaving more than one in tears. Lorraine cut off his coffee, Ditzy banned him from the gym and even Monty didn't help calm the restlessness of the wolf, the mammoth sensed the coming storm too.
He watched people enjoying the sun, even as dogs tried to hurry their owners inside, and mused that humanity had lost all its survival instincts as rain began to pelt down from a no-longer clear sky.
