Helen's affairs had never been about sex, they had been about proving she was better than the men she bedded.

It was a game to her: choosing her next conquest, planning how to obtain his interest and tempt him into her bed. Not that any held her interest for long; for none of them had known how to please her, all too interested in their own gratification.

No, the thrill came from the chase, and she had found a worthy opponent. One who almost matched her in manipulation and intrigue. He would prove a challenge but she would bed him.
