Primeval drabble: Down The Rabbit Hole

Title: Down The Rabbit Hole
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Emily Merchant
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 435: Emily Merchant. Thanks go to Fred for looking it over for me.
Note: Emily was married in 1867, Alice in Wonderland was published in 1865.

Emily stared at the flickering, broken light which had appeared quite suddenly before her. She knew she should have returned to their house to inform Henry, but she didn't. He wouldn't be interested in it and would dismiss it as mere fancy on her part.

She thought she should be scared as she watched the light, but her thoughts instead turned to the book she had just finished. Maybe this was her one chance to have an adventure, to explore her own rabbit hole as Alice had done.

No one would ever know if she just had a quick look...

Nice tie-in - the Alice parallel works really well.
