James wasn't overly fond of these do's, if his contacts and connections could be maintained any other way... He glanced over at Blade, noticing the soldier's dour looks at the condescending attitude of one of the social climbers who'd been trying to bend James' ear all night.

Maybe it was time to teach that idiot a lesson, that he shouldn't dismiss someone as unimportant without knowing who they were. He meet Blade's gaze, quirked an eyebrow and took the slight amusement as permission.

Drawing back from Blade's lips, James nodded to the gaping idiot and swept off, Blade in tow.
