He snarled as his prey fled, snapping at the air as the pain in his head prevented him from following. Hunting. Eating.
When he was finally freed to hunt, he turned his head this way and that as he sought the steady thump-thump that drew him. He moved quickly, the sound growing faster, erratic as he approached, his claw raised to strike and...
He screamed, the siren call drowned out by the torrent of noise. He couldn't see anymore, deafened by the sound he flailed, his claws striking something and he could hear again. He turned to face his prey...
