Title: Coincidental
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Hilary Becker, James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 382: "It was an accident!". Part of my Making An Impression drabble series. Thanks go to Fred for looking it over for me.
Lester staggered when Becker released him and spun around to stare at the accelerating truck, his mouth opening wordlessly when he obviously realised Matt was driving it.
He wasn't surprised when Becker turned, his voice almost a growl. “If you claim this was all a coincidence...”
Lester allowed an eyebrow to rise in disdain. “I never do anything by accident, captain.” He winced when he put weight on his leg, holding Becker's arm for support. If he squeezed it in sympathy... well, no-one else would know.
“I can't lose him.”
“I know.” Lester murmured, hoping it wouldn't come to that.
