Primeval drabble: Turnabout
Title: Turnabout
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Nick Cutter, James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 381: A Dish Best Served Cold. Set in my Under The Moonlight wolfverse series. Refers to Different Tastes. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over this for me.
Nick loved watching James cook, his lover's hands skilful as he chopped and prepared the various ingredients he had lying on the work surface.
His stomach rumbled when James retrieved the fillet steak from the fridge, although Nick's eyebrow quirked when James cut it into cubes and mixed it into the other ingredients. “James?”
“Almost ready.”
“What is?”
James merely smiled while he split the mixture between two plates before adding chips to each.
Nick eyed the plates warily before stating. “It's cold.”
“It's supposed to be cold, Nick. Eat up.” James quirked an eyebrow at him. “I tried Haggis.”

Haggis - steak tartare - haggis - steak tartare....
Nope. Can't decide!
Turnabout is definitely fair play!
Edit:
Reminds me of the Hawai'an Poke (pronounced po-kay). Raw tuna. Spiced raw tuna. Edible - barely...

Hee, I think Lester prefers the steak tartare - lovely raw steak. He says turnabout is definitely fair.
Mmmm, wonder what Lester would think of that ;)
