“I'm afraid Becker will have to remain disappointed over the lack of explosions.”

“That's the least of our problems, James.”

“What's gone wrong now?”

“The energy the anomaly is given off is changing. It's spiking. I think it is going to undergo a phase shift.”

“In English, Con.”

“I think it will give off an EMP.”

“Ah.”

“On the positive side, the minister won't be able to change his mind about the bombers.”

“Was that it?”

“Yes. It's fried my equipment.”

“Mmm. I do hope Burton kept his insurance payments up, I'd hate to see his bill for this débâcle.”
