Title: Against The Oncoming Storm
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Connor Temple
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 372: A Sporting Chance. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and I blame the prompt ;) Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over it for me.
James knew they were moving too slowly, that they weren't going to make it in time. He looked around, knowing he needed to find somewhere safe, somewhere Connor would survive the oncoming storm... there!
He ignored Connor's questioning moan when they turned away from the anomaly, heading towards the only cover they might reach in time. Hoping that the rocks might shelter them, shelter Connor and knowing it was their only chance.
James settled Connor into a crevasse before shielding his husband with his own body. He paused before stripping his jacket off and using it to cover their heads.

Date: 2014-07-02 02:54 pm (UTC)*g* This is canon, right?! Definitely the sensible thing to do - I just hope James isn't leading them into more danger. (But I will find out in a few minutes!)
