“Step away, James.”

Lester heard the safety catch click off and turned to face Helen, an eyebrow raised as if she was a minor annoyance. “Come to gloat?” he asked pointedly and glanced towards Burton.

“No, to save the world from you.”

“By destroying it? How novel,” Lester drawled as he stepped away from the controls.

“This is all your fault, you turned Nick and...”

Lester glanced down at her sprawled body before his gaze flickered to the laptop Burton had used to knock her unconscious.

“She used me.”

Lester smiled. “I believe we have a world to save, Philip.”
