Primeval drabble: Footnote #17 From The Symposia Of Intelligence In Non-Pachyderm Species

Title: Footnote #17 From The Symposia Of Intelligence In Non-Pachyderm Species
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Monty
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For my Primeval Bingo Card (round 2) prompt: Footnotes. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over it for me.

Footnote #17:

It was well known amongst mammoths that humans were not as intelligent as they believed. Indeed, the great mammoth philosopher, Monty, had often referred to instances during his field trip amongst the humans that “you could clearly inform one of the most basic details and they still failed to grasp the concept that a calf a mere three months old had no difficulty with”.

The Great Monty had persisted in his efforts for many years, forming a deep attachment with one human in particular. But in the end, even he had to admit that humans were a very dim people.

I love the idea of Monty being on a field trip of his own. Sorry that we didn't live up to some expectations, but we are lovable *G*

yay for 'the great philosopher'!
