Title: So Many Missed Opportunities
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Philip Burton
Rating: 15
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 352: Missed Opportunities. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and thanks go to Fred for looking it over for me.
Burton slammed the phone down. Why had he ever thought the minister would take care of Lester for him? Well, that's what you got for trusting idiots, he should have known Lester would blind-side him.
He should have dealt with Lester when he'd the chance.
He should have let Ethan kill him when he'd wanted to.
He should have convinced Helen to change history.
He should have ordered the doctors to give him slightly too much anaesthetic.
He should have dialled the morphine too high.
He'd missed so many opportunities to rid himself of Lester.
He wouldn't miss this time.
