He watched as the minister leaned back in his chair and pursed his lips thoughtfully. “You think the situation is that bad?”

“Yes, I'm afraid I do.” He shook his head in mock concern but the minister was too stupid to realise. “I think the responsibility has got to him. I understand he's increased security without reason.”

“Hmmm.” The minister sighed. “I must admit I have been concerned.”

He bit back a smile. “I think a sabbatical would be good for him.”

The minister nodded. “I'll consider it. Thank you for bring this to my attention, Mr Burton.”

“My pleasure.”

Philip Burton! You are a pissant! and I don't suppose James will be allowed to take Connor on this imposed sabbatical. StupidBurton is stupid! and the minister is dumb as a rock!

You really don't like Burton, do you? Burton hopes Connor wouldn't go with James... but you are assuming that a) the minister will actually force James to go on sabbatical (he only said he'd consider it) and b) that James won't make it backfire on Burton.

Thanks for reading.

You really don't like Burton, do you? **looks around and whistles innocently** What makes you think that? Hey, I wrote Philip as a good guy... once. Right now, he's figuring rather heavily as the nasty in a couple of fics I'm working on. Anyway... You're right, I am assuming too much. Shall wait, patiently, for the next prompt.

Burton says your looking innocent needs work ;) He really doesn't understand you dislike ;)

Hmmm, I think I wrote him as a good guy once too. Mostly he, like Leek, writes himself as a baddie.

I'm not saying your wrong, it all depends on the prompts.

That's funny, Lester said the same thing. I'd really better practice looking innocent. I'll get right on that. *g*

Lester says he said it first, Burton merely copied him ;)

Hee, more watching Connor?

**nods** Yep, back to watching Connor. Such a ... distraction... sigh...
