Title: Exit Strategies
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100 x 2
Characters: Philip Burton, James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 343: Exit Strategy. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series. Thanks go to Fred for casting her eye over this for me.
Philip Burton smiled as he put his plan into action, he knew it would work and he'd be rewarded with all he desired. The ARC and Lester would be discredited and Connor would finally see Lester for the pathetic failure he really was.
He, Philip Burton, would be seen as the savior of the world when his free and unlimited power was available for all. More importantly, Connor would realise the terrible mistake he'd made by choosing Lester over him. He'd realised he truly belonged at Burton's side and in his bed.
All in all, a win-win situation for Burton.
Sir James Lester leaned back in his chair, his hands steppled as he looked at his team. He smiled, together they would stop Burton's and Helen's plans. He glanced at his telephone, considering whether he should inform the minister of their plan... but dismissed it. The minister would demand proof and Lester knew he had none... none the minister would accept.
No, the ARC was on its own and he needed to figure out how to take Burton down without causing a run on the markets. It would hardly do to save the world only to plunge it into recession.

Date: 2013-12-01 10:44 pm (UTC)Ah Lester, always the practical thinker. Probably best not to inform the Minister. Hopefully the plan will work. *fingers crossed*
