Lester stepped around Lyle while the witch continued to hover above them. “Good evening, madam. How may we help you?” He noticed and then ignored Lyle's incredulous look.

The witch tilted her head to one side. “Your coming was foretold.”

“It was?” Lyle asked before shutting up when her attention shifted to him.

Lester cleared his throat and regained the witch's gaze. He had no wish for Lyle to say something and end up a frog or what he'd no doubt have to do if Lyle did. “Madam? If you'd be so kind as to tell us what was foretold?”
