Burton glared around his office before collapsing in his chair with a sigh, he just couldn't believe how blind he'd been.

If only he'd recognised how important Connor would be when they'd first meet, he could have monopolised that hero-worship but instead he'd thrown Connor off the team. He given Lester an opening, one the bloody bastard used to manipulate young, inexperienced Connor into his own bed.

Connor should have been in his bed, not Lester's. Then he could use Connor's mind for the greater good. To fulfil the destiny Helen told him was his.

Well, he still had time.

Goodness! Everyone wants Connor but I have a feeling James is the only one who wants him for anything other than his mind... although, I know he appreciates that,as well, but he loves Connor and Burton just wants him. He's a dangerous man and we need out boys to stay hyper-vigilant. Very well done.
