Primeval drabble: And Even Worse
Nov. 14th, 2013 09:39 pmTitle: And Even Worse
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Jon Lyle (OC), OCs
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace. Lyle, of course, belongs to Fred.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 341: Fresh Meat. Part 32 of my Strange Bedfellows drabble series and continues from Things Just Got Worse and I have no idea where my muse is taking this.
Lester ducked as sparks hit the ground, surrounding then before exploding upwards to trap them behind a barrier of bright light. Fuck! Just what they needed. It appeared they had escaped Helen only to be captured by... well, someone who could be much, much worse.
He glanced at Lyle, unsurprised to see the soldier itching his thumbs, before the witch hovered above them and fulfilled Lester's worse nightmares as she cackled. “Ohh, fresh meat.”
Lyle pulled Lester behind him when the witch pointed outside the barrier.
“The villagers do like fresh meat.”
Lester sighed, today had just got even worse.
