A/N: For the P100 challenge 337: Wheel of Fortune. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows Inattentive.


Despite James' efforts, Connor lay awake, thoughts churning around in his mind of how things could have ended up differently. If he'd gained that scholarship, he'd never have joined the ARC. If Philip hadn't pushed his interest, James wouldn't have rescued him. If he hadn't been drunk at Matt's and Becker's civil partnership... he might not have ended up where he was now. In James' arms, loving and being loved.

So many little things that just one change could bring everything down... if James was right, if Philip was working with Helen... he feared what Philip wanted from their alliance.

Connor, Connor, Connor... get some rest. There's nothing you can do on your own but with James beside you and the rest of the team, you can beat whatever nasty plan is being hatched by Philip and Helen. Just snuggle up with Lester and sleep. **hugs Connor** You'll be just fine.
