Connor had been relieved James had loved his gift, even if a night at the opera wasn't Connor's thing. The meal afterwards was far better in Connor's opinion, it was certainly a night out that he'd never forget.

How could he when James had sprung his own surprise on him by taking him to an excellent restaurant. The food had been wonderful, but the best part of the evening – the part Connor would remember forever – had been James going down on one knee and asking Connor to marry him. The other guests had broken into applauses when he'd gasped “Yes”
