Even moving as carefully and slowly as he could, James was still shaking and gritting his teeth by the time he sat on the edge of the bed, sweat dripping off him as he panted in pain.

He hadn't felt this bad since the time someone – who luckily for them had remained nameless – had spiked the Christmas punch... although, he mused, it had led to better things. Much better things.

Which reminded him, rather than sit here reminiscing about the past, he really should find Jon and escape before Helen had a chance to put her bloody plan into action.
