Title: The Perfect Façade
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: Connor Temple, James Lester, Philip Burton.
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 322: Expect the Unexpected. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and continues from Showdown. Thanks go to the wonderful Fred for casting her eyes over this for me, cheers m'dear.
James had spent the day planning what to say to Connor and how to apologise for all he'd done. The last thing he'd expected when he'd walked into Connor's room was to find bloody Philip leering at Connor.
Not that Philip would ever realise for James had spent more years and close calls than he cared to remember perfecting his façade. He hadn't blinked when a so-called ally had pulled a gun on him, he certainly wasn't going to now. Not when even the smallest flinch would convince Philip he'd won, despite all the evidence, and that Connor was his.

Date: 2013-07-08 09:47 pm (UTC)Me read too fast! I thought the so-called ally with the gun was Philip...
After re-reading and actually understanding, I now simply hope that James manages to annihilate Philip with a perfectly raised eyebrow and a cutting remark... :)
