James was far happier as he left work and made his way to Connor's side. At least he was until he entered his... Connor's room and stopped dead in his tracks. The entire room was full of various gifts and enough flowers to give the Chelsea Flower Show a run for its money.

James' lip curled in distaste and distress when he checked several labels. Bloody Burton. He couldn't help fear Connor's reaction, after all, he'd hurt him.

“Philip can't buy my love, James.” Connor reached out for his hand. “I loved – I do love you but I need time.”
