James might have left the ARC under protest, but he hadn't gone home. He needed to be with Connor. Everything he'd done had been for his... Connor, the one bright spot in his life and he had to be there if... no, when Connor woke up. He owed it to him, and not just for everything he had put Connor through when he'd been missing, feared dead.

James woke with a start, how the fuck had he allowed himself to fall asleep... he almost forgot to breathe when a hand squeezed his and he looked up into Connor's dazed eyes.
