A/N: For the P100 challenge 316: Black And Blue. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows The Odd Couple. Oh yes, angst alert.


James tensed as he realised Abby had entered Connor's room, waiting for her to tear into him as he deserved. She had to know, as James did, that every mark and injury Connor had was because of him.

The silence grew and James almost wished Abby spoke, that she'd yell at him or even slap him again. Anything but just stand there and watch him. He could just imagine her face, tear streaked and glaring daggers at him.

Not that he needed to know Abby hated him, he hated himself. Seeing Connor lying there, pale and unresponsive, broke his heart.

You're being very horrible to all of them, aren't you? And if Connor woke up and saw him like that he'd probably forgive him instantly, because Connor is like that. Silly boys! I hope they're all going to talk to each other properly when Connor wakes up!
