James smiled when the creature lowered its head and slowly paced towards him, salivating, fangs bared. Now, to lead it away from Connor...
Shit! The creature's head swung around at the furious hammering on the door before it sniffed at the blood trail that led to Connor. Its nose bumped against the firmly barred door, once and then again, harder.
He'd hoped the room would be a refuge for his... Connor and the others; but he doubted the door would hold against a determined attack, not the way the creature was rattling it.
James yelled, waved his arms and ran.
