A/N: For the P100 challenge 301: Gold. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows Jeopardy. Um, angsty. Thanks goes to Fred for looking at it for me, cheers m'dear.


Matt made himself join the others in the waiting room, although he had no idea what to say to them or how to apologise for what had happened.

James looked dishevelled as he sat hunched over, staring fixedly at Connor's ring in his hand, the cord dangling between his fingers.

Abby looked equally distraught, her eyes dark smudges were she'd rubbed her tears away.

Matt sighed. Both were worried about Connor and both needed comfort but neither seemed willing to provide it for the other. It was up to Matt and... he just hoped he didn't mess up this time.
