Title: At The Beginning
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 300: Picture Prompt (anomaly)
Sir James Lester sighed deeply as he read the highly imaginative report that had landed on his desk that morning. He flicked to the end, his eyebrow quirking when he realised it had been submitted by a civil servant – albeit a junior one.
Turning back to peruse it more thoroughly, Lester's hand froze as he stared at the photograph enclosed. His thoughts flashed to years ago – to fractured light hanging in the air, to screams and to a large blank spot in his memory.
Lester reached for his phone, maybe, after all these years, he'd discover the truth.
