James stroked the cub, smiling at everyone sitting contentedly after the excellent dinner; although his sons were still playing – with Rex's help. This had proven to be a far better Christmas than he'd begun to think possible while stuck on the wrong side of the anomalies.

Although he'd always believed that his team were misfits that he had to put up with, now he knew he had to thank all of them for everything – and not just for this wonderful day, even with the carol singing – they'd never stopped looking for them and had looked after his children.
