A/N 1: For the P100 challenge 292: Reunion. Part of my Making An Impression drabble series and follows Calling In Backup. Sorry, angst again.

The CCTV footage showed an increasingly distressed Connor being comforted by Abby after the team's search of the building Duncan had discovered showed little evidence of recent occupation.
The sight of his lover in tears almost broke James' resolve. He desired nothing more than to sweep down and take Connor in his arms, to be reunited with him and never let him go, but he couldn't.
James had barely escaped Burton's clutches and he had no wish to prompt the obsessed man into kidnapping Connor. No, until James took Burton down, it was safer for Connor if he stayed away.
