Title: The Storm Breaks
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Dave the Future Predator, (OWC)
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N 1: For the P100 challenge 288: Fireworks. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series and sequel to Waiting For The Storm. Sorry ;) How could I resist doing this?
A/N 2: Thanks go to Fred for the beta, cheers m'dear.
The pending silence was split by a tremendous explosion that had the neutered future predator reeling from the shock wave with a pained shriek cry before it took off at speed.
James stared, wide-eyed, as the sky was filled with streaks of fire that screamed through the air like malfunctioning rockets. He swallowed as the sky turned red and predator and prey ran helter-skelter past him, struck by some nameless panic.
He wished he knew what era he was in as he watched fireballs rain down into the now-steaming jungle and tongues of flame sprang skyward far too close for comfort.

Date: 2012-11-13 08:29 am (UTC)Well, that DID get rid of the FP...though they could get run over by something else as it tries to escape.
I hope the cub sticks close to James and doesn't panic. Trust you to top a future predator with an exploding volcano/comet, whatever!

Hee, it had to happen ;)
