Connor huddled on the settee, staring blankly at the TV as he absent-mindedly stroked Rex.
“Con?” Abby held out a hot, sweet tea. “Do you want to talk?”
Connor blinked back the tears that threatened to fall. “I miss him, Abs. Even that cutting snark of his.” His voice dropped as he looked deep into his tea. “And the sex...” He sighed. “The sex was like Bonfire Night. Fireworks going off behind my eyes as James took me to...” He trailed off at Abby's expression. “Too much information?”
“Just a bit, Con.” Abby held his hand. “We'll get James back.”
