Title: Frustrated
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester, Dave, OWC
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 285: Frustrated. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series and continues from The Day Just Got Worse. Thanks go to Fred for looking it over for me.
James held his breath, his eyes wide as the creature slunk towards him. His attention riveted on it, he almost yelped when something cold pressed against him before realising it couldn't be the predator.
James cuddled the trembling cub close and watched the predator pause and scuff the ground. He couldn't understand why it hadn't attacked until he noticed the control clamp blinking dully on its head.
He sighed in relief before tensing again as the future predator let out a scream of pure frustration. The clamp wouldn't keep him alive if another predator decided to investigate the creature's calls.

Date: 2012-10-18 09:06 pm (UTC)Aww, James had to cuddle the cub - especially as he knows Dave won't attack him, he's not sure about the cub's safety.
Thanks for reading.
