The wolf knew, and unlike his human counterpart, he didn't deny it or try to hide from the truth. He was meant for that one, the one who's scent enticed him and whose words sent pleasurable sensations through his body.
As a man he might sneer in disdain at wanting him, at the thought of falling in love at first sight. But as the wolf he knew better and every instinct he had told him one thing – he wanted the man as his mate and, even if they were never one, that he would protect him, even unto death.
