Title: Watching The Game
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester.
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 267: Football. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series. Thanks go to Fred for looking at it for me. Cheers.
James shivered as he stood on the sidelines of the pitch and watched his sons playing a friendly, laughing and joking with their mates.
He winced when William's feet were cut from beneath him, but his son leapt up with a wave. James still started to turn to Steff, ready to stop her storming onto the pitch to check on him. James swallowed as he remembered she wouldn't, couldn't.
James managed a smile as his hand was squeezed. He leaned over to wrap his arms around a warmly wrapped-up Steff, gasping softly as the wheelchair jabbed him in the ribs.
